The user can download MP3 ringtones from the Internet and the phone is equipped with memory to store several ringtones.  MP3 players and 2megapixel camera are of little use if you don't have enough storage space, and to that end the Nokia 7310 Supernova offers a microSD memory card slot that accepts cards of up to 4GB in size.

 The user can communicate with other compatible contact by using text, symbols, photo or video as an input method. The text message service allows the user to communicate with others using text & symbols with a predictive text assistance, if required. The 7310 Supernova comes with an instant messaging service which allows the user to have an instant message conversation containing text & symbols with contacts whom are online at the same time as the user. The instant messaging service works like an instant messaging service on the users PC but the phone instant messaging service is mobile. The user can use the email service to communicate with their email contacts which allows the user to send & receive emails directly to the Nokia 7310 Supernova.

 The handsfree speakerphone feature allows the user to take a call over the phones speakers which leaves the user handsfree to continue to work or simply relax & chat without holding the handset.
